2 Killed in New Israeli Airstrike on Southern Lebanon

Two people were killed in a new Israeli airstrike that targeted a house in the village of Kherbet Selm in southern Lebanon at dawn Friday. Meanwhile, the Israeli air force renewed its bombardment of various border areas, as well as the southern suburb of Beirut. According to Lebanon's National News Agency (NNA), the Israeli entity attacked the mountains of Labouneh and Al-Allam and the surroundings of Tyre Harfa and Aita al-Shaab in southern Lebanon with heavy machine gun fire. The Israeli air force also raided the outskirts of Majdal in the Tyre district, and the heights of Janta in eastern Lebanon. Earlier, the Israeli air force unleashed violent airstrikes on the southern suburb of Beirut, using a large amount of vacuum bombs and bunker-busters, which resulted in the collapse of a number of buildings and facilities. The extent of human losses were not known so far. The Israeli entity has escalated its aggression on Lebanon, causing hundreds of dead and injuries, the displacement of more than a millio n, and a massive destruction in facilities.
