8 Air Quality Monitoring Stations in the Vicinity of World Cup Stadiums

Mr. Abdullah Ali Al Khulaifi, Head of Air Quality Section at the Monitoring Department and Environmental Laboratory at the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MECC), has disclosed setting up naval stations for monitoring air quality in the sea that are connected to the environmental data monitoring and analysis unit in the State of Qatar, which was launched last week.

He added that special stations have been launched to assess the noise level and work on a plan to tackle it, with the aim of providing a healthy environment for population.

Al Khulaifi said that MECC has completed the works of 8 air quality-monitoring stations in the vicinity of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 stadiums, to measure their air quality and that of fans’ gathering zones. He highlighted that the last station was installed at Ahmad bin Ali Stadium at the end of the last week.
