DOHA – The day two competitions of the fourth edition of the 2022 Nishan Vodafone Ramadan Tournament continued successfully at the Lusail Shooting Range with the participation of more than 500 competitors in both the amateur and professional events.
This community tournament is organized under the patronage of the H.E Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) President, Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, where competitors are fighting hard for top places in four classes , Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun and Archery.
In the men’s professional category, Usama Abdulnaser Al Shaiba took the first place with 344 points ahead of Mohamed Ahmed Al Rumaihi in the second place with 366 points while Mohamed Abdulmohsen finished third with 334 points.
Shahd Al Darwish led the standings of women’s professional event with 329. Reem Al Sharshani and Ghalia Ali Al Malki occupied the second and third places respectively.
In the Men’s amateur event, Mohamed Khalid Al Sedaiqi claimed the first place with 329 points ahead of Abdulrahman Mohsen Al Athba in the second while with 317 points while Dadr Al Yousef settled for third place with 309 points.
Moreover, Aysha Ali Al Sada clinched the first place in women’s amateur event with 288 points while Ghada Al Ghamdi and Abdulatif claimed the second and third places respectively.
Qatar’s promising shooting star, Sheikha Al Benali spoke out to media on Wednesday and said that I’m truly happy to be part of this tournament, I will do my best to keep up my performance high, because this kind of tournaments will help every single shooter to gain more effective experience”.
In the same context, Qatar’s shooter, Meitha Hamad Al Benali said it is my great pleasure to participate in such a high technical and strong tournament that bringing top amateurs and professionals together to fight for top places.
This tournament aims to discover the most talented elements in the game , develop their skills and helping clubs and national teams to achieve quantum leap in the game and promoting this sport among citizens and residents whose rate of participation in the game rises sharply year by year.
