Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Meets President of Japanese Parliamentary Association for Friendship with Qatar

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met on Monday during his current visit to Japan with HE Member of the Japanese House of Representatives and President of the Japanese Parliamentary Association for Friendship with the State of Qatar Toshihiro Nikai.

During the meeting, they discussed bilateral cooperation relations and ways of supporting and developing them, especially in the economic, trade, investment, and tourism fields.

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs also praised the relations between the two countries, the mutual trust, and the common desire to expand and strengthen them, expressing his gratitude for the efforts of HE the Association's President to advance them.

For his part, HE President of Japanese Parliamentary Association for Friendship with the State of Qatar affirmed that Qatar is an important partner in Japan's energy field and stressed his country's endeavor to strengthen relations with Qatar in all fields. HE also praised Qatar's hosting of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, its hospitality, and the welcome of the Japanese fans during the tournament.
