Gaza – Together – 10 citizens were martyred, including an infant, and dozens were injured, on Sunday, in an Israeli army bombing that targeted two homes in the Bureij camp, the Al-Mawasi area, the Shujaiya neighborhood, and Beit Hanoun.
The occupation aircraft bombed a house for the Al-Khatib family in the Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, killing 5 citizens, including an infant, and wounding others.
The occupation bombed a house for the Al-Najjar family in Al-Bureij camp, which led to the death of two citizens and the injury of others.
The Israeli war machine blew up residential buildings in the Al-Mughraqa area in the central Gaza Strip, by bombing them with warplanes and artillery.
A citizen was also martyred in an Israeli bombing that targeted the Al-Mawasi area, north of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.
Israeli aircraft bombed a gathering of citizens in the Shujaiya neighborhood, east of Gaza City, leading to the death of a citizen and the injury of others.
Local sources reported that a
citizen was martyred and another was injured when an Israeli drone targeted the roof of the Ghazi Shawa School, which houses thousands of displaced people in Beit Hanoun, northern Gaza Strip.
The bombing comes despite the Israeli army announcing, on Sunday, that it would stop fighting throughout the daylight hours along the southern Gaza route, to relieve the accumulation of humanitarian aid heading to desperate Palestinians who are suffering from a severe humanitarian crisis.
The “tactical truce” announced by the army, which applies to about 12 kilometers of roads in the Rafah area, falls far short of the complete ceasefire in the besieged area sought by the international community, including Israel’s biggest ally, the United States.
The army said that the truce will begin at eight in the morning and will remain in effect until seven in the evening, local time, and added that the pauses will occur daily until further notice.
He explained that “the truce aims to allow aid trucks to reach the nearby Israel
i-controlled Kerem Shalom crossing, which is the main entry point for incoming aid, and to travel safely to the Salah al-Din Highway, a major north-south road.”
