The Ministry of Education held a ceremony devoted to honouring the committees supporting the Nasser bin Hamad Secondary Boys' SchoolsFootball Championship for the academic year 2022/23.
The ceremony was held under the patronage of Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education, in cooperation with the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), General Sports Authority (GSA), and the Bahrain Football Association (BFA).
The minister praised the great efforts exerted to ensure the success of this edition, which was honored by the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and SCYS Chairman, and the presence of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the SCYS, GSA Chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee President, for its final match last February.
He stressed that the Ministry is continuing its efforts to promote school sports, by creating and developing more programmes and initiatives that support student talents in various sports.
In the ceremony, the minister honoured the Higher Committee of the Championship, including Kifaya Al Anzoor, Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Services, and Dr. Nader Mohammad Jamali, Director of the Directorate of Physical Education.
He also honoured the sponsors, including the National Bank of Bahrain (NBB), Bahrain Cinema Company (Cineco), Palace Enterprises, National Transport Company, as well as the partners: the SCYS, GSA, Ministry of Information, Bahrain Football Association, A’ali Cultural and Sports Club, Isa Town Sports Club, Al Najma Sports Club and Al Ettihad Sport Club.
