The UAE Embassy in Nigeria has delivered medical equipment to the children's ward of the National Hospital in Abuja, which was donated by the Sharjah Charity Association.
The aid aims to support the hospital's medical personnel and improve the medical care it provides to children, as part of the UAE's efforts to support other countries in the area of health, confirming its leading role in achieving sustainable development.
Fahad Obaid Mohammed Al Taffaq, UAE Ambassador to Nigeria, visited the hospital, accompanied by Dr. Jafar Elonwa Momoh, Director-General of the Hospital. His visit included the hospital's special suite, which was recently restored, as well as its new intensive care unit for new-born babies.
Al Taffaq stated that the UAE aims to assist Nigerian medical institutions and help them achieve their humanitarian mission, as well as to support the country's entire health sector. He added that the association's donation will fulfil the needs of the hospital in Abuja.
Officials from the hospital praised the UAE's humanitarian efforts in Nigeria, through the association and other charity authorities.
