Damascus, The National Earthquake Center(NEC) announced that monitoring stations recorded 4 light and medium-intensity tremors in Lattakia and central Turkey over the past 24 hours. The center noted in a statement on Wednesday that one of the tremors with a magnitude of 2.2 on the Richter Scale occurred at 11:14 a.m. Tuesday in northern Lattakia, while another tremor with a magnitude of 2.1 on the Richter Scale occurred at 6:53 a.m., southwest of Lattakia. Two quakes occurred in central Turkey at 1:38 a.m. and 3:22 a.m. on Wednesday, with magnitudes of 4.5 and 4 on the Richter Scale, the center added. Source: Syrian Arab News Agency
