The Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) met at its headquarters with a delegation from the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI). The delegation's meetings aimed at enhancing the relations and cooperation between the CRA and ETSI in the field of Information and Communications Technology (ICT), particularly standards development and recognition.
During the meeting, the Qatari side gave a presentation on the role and responsibilities of the Institute in developing relevant international standards, and its importance in supporting and developing telecommunications and information technology, and highlighted the latest technologies, developments and achievement of the ICT sector in Qatar.
Eng. Abdullah Jasmi, Technical Affairs Department Manager at CRA, expressed his pleasure of ETSI's visit to the Authority, which is keen to ensure that Qatar leads in ICT at regional level.
