HE Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie, Minister of Municipality, announced yesterday the launch of the Integrated National Solid Waste Management Program. That happened during the opening of the activities of the 2nd Waste Management Conference and Exhibition 2022, which is organized by the Ministry from June 13-14, in the presence of HE Sheikh Dr. Faleh bin Nasser bin Ahmed bin Ali Al Thani, Minister of Environment and Climate Change.

In his opening speech, HE the Minister emphasized that organizing the 2nd Waste Management Conference and Exhibition comes within the framework of the great interest that the State of Qatar attaches to the issue of reduction, waste management and recycling of waste, in order to be a multi-use source for a number of products, industries and various businesses that serve the economy and contribute to the preservation of the Qatari environment.

He added that this conference comes in the implementation of the sustainable strategy of the Ministry of Municipality and as part of the integrated plan for waste management, in addition to developing policies and legislation that support waste reduction and national awareness programs and campaigns.
