HMC Implements New Procedures in Outpatient Services

Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) is beginning to implement changes in its outpatient services today, considering the recent increase in the number of cases of Covid-19 in the State of Qatar, where these changes protect public health as well as protect patients, visitors, and staff from COVID-19

The changes include providing 50% of the medical consultations over the phone, the rest of which should be percent as in-person consultations. HMC called on patients who receive phone consultations not to come to the hospital for their appointments, as they will receive a call from the doctor on the day designated for the date for the medical consultation. If the doctor acknowledges the patient's need for direct follow-up, this will be coordinated and the patient will be notified by the clinic.

The Foundation is also implementing strict safety and prevention protocols at all HMC facilities, while all emergency and ambulance service sections are operating 24 hours a day, for emergencies only. The virtual Urgent Care Service is available to support patients with non-life-threatening conditions by calling 16000, from 7 am to 3 pm, Sunday to Thursday.
