Washington, Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, participated in roundtable discussions organised by the National US-Arab Chamber of Commerce (NUSACC).
David Hammoud, President and CEO of the National US-Arab Chamber of Commerce, and Sameer Abdulla Nass, Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), were present.
The discussions highlighted the means to enhance economic cooperation by strengthening trade and investment ties and encouraging the exchange of expertise in various fields.
They emphasised the importance of strengthening and activating the role of the private sector in developing cooperation and creating strategic partnerships between companies and institutions.
The discussions reviewed promising investment opportunities presented by Bahrain in various sectors, including industry, technology, tourism, and logistics, noting the advantages and facilities provided by the Kingdom to attract investors. The discussions also highlighted the importance of the f
ree trade agreement in enhancing trade exchange and facilitating investment flow.
For his part, Hammoud commended Bahrain’s progress in developing the business environment, and its adoption of open economic policies that attract qualitative investment in major economic projects.
He emphasised the importance of further developing joint work between the chamber and the ministry to enhance cooperation between the business communities in both countries and leveraging existing investment and economic opportunities.
