Qatar's Minister of Culture and Sports, Salah bin Ghanem bin Nasser al-Ali, said, yesterday, that, the attendance of the Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, at the final day of Qatar Grand Prix, the opening round of MotoGP 2018, was a success for the event, and a message of support to all competitions organised by Qatar.
The minister said, in a press statement, that, this year's Grand Prix was a thriller and the perfect way to kick-off the season, pointing to the nail-biting competition, between Andrea Dovizioso and Mark Marquez, which went all the way.
He also highlighted that, the Moto2 and Moto3 competitions, were just as exciting this year.
The Minister of Culture and Sports also paid tribute to Losail International Circuit, saying, it proved once again that, it is one of the best circuits, in terms of safety, worldwide.
He stressed that, the opening round of the MotoGP, affirmed this year, Qatar's international reputation of hosting distinguished sporting events.
He praised, in particular, the attendance levels from spectators, saying that, the excitement of the event added to the entertainment of the fans.
