Under the patronage of Prime Minister HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, Qatar's Second National Development Strategy 2018-2022 is being inaugurated today.

The strategy is part of a series of successive development plans that help make Qatar National Vision 2030 and its four pillars of human development, social development, economic development and environmental development a tangible reality.

The strategy also aims to transform Qatar into a developed country by 2030, capable of achieving sustainable development and ensuring well-being of its people for generations to come.

More than 50 government and non-government entities and over 150 members representing these bodies have been involved in developing the strategy. The Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics (MDPS) led the comprehensive preparation process through the Supervisory Group chaired by the Ministry and supported by task forces.
