The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC) participated in the fourth edition of the Qatar Government Procurement and Contracting Conference and Exhibition "Moushtarayat 2019" which was launched on March 31, 2019 and will run until 2 April 2019 at the Doha Convention and Exhibition Center.
Through a unique pavilion within the exhibition, MOTC will present the contractual opportunities in the coming period, especially those related to the Qatar Smart Program "TASMU", by interviewing the representatives of the companies to provide all information about the tender procedures and contracting methods with the ministry.
In this regard, Ms. Mai Ahmed Al Buainain, Director of Finance and Administration at MOTC, said that Moushtarayat Exhibition and Conference reflects the interest of the Government and its keenness to support small and medium-sized companies to obtain tenders offered by government entities. The Exhibition provides the opportunity to meet directly between these companies on the one hand and between the various ministries and government entities on the other, paving the way for the participation of SMEs in tenders and government contracts, and also reflects the true meaning of the partnership between the public and private sectors.
Al Buainain added that through Moushtarayat 2019, the Ministry is offering 20 smart solutions in TASMU five main sectors: Transport, Logistics, Environment, Health and Sports sectors, including 8 projects targeted small and micro enterprises, in the belief of its role in making tangible progress in the field of modern technology, in order to qualify these companies and enable them to participate in achieving the objectives of TASMU strategy.
