Qatar Elected as FAO Vice Chairperson

The State of Qatar was unanimously elected as Vice Chairperson for the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) at the 161th session which kicked off on Monday and will run till April 12 at the FAO's headquarters in Rome.

HE Qatar's Ambassador to Italy and its Permanent Representative to the United Nations agencies in Rome Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Al Malki was elected to the post.

HE Ambassador Al Malki is participating in the council's session which will discuss a number of issues, most prominently the upcoming election for the director general position during the conference held between June 22 and June 29.
