MOI Announces Abu Samra Border Crossing Preparedness for Receiving World Cup Fans from Nov 1, 2022

The Ministry of Interior (MOI), in coordination with various entities in the State of Qatar and partners in the security and safety of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and regulators, announced the preparedness of Abu Samra Border Crossing for receiving world cup fans as of November 1, 2022 until the end of the tournament.

This announcement was made during a news conference held at the venue of Officers Club of the General Directorate of Civil Defense yesterday. During the conference, Colonel Dr. Jabr Hammoud Jabr Al Nuaimi, the Official Spokesman for MOI and the World Cup Security Force and Colonel Jassem Al Sayed, the Executive Director at the Office of the Commander of the Tournament Security Operations, delivered their remarks on this subject. MOI publicly welcomed world cup fans who are coming through the state ports, explaining the various measures required to be followed upon arrival at Abu Samra border crossing, as per Hayya Card granted to all fans categories.
