MOI Announces the Details of Temporary Closure Plan for the Corniche and Alternative Roads During Arab World Cup

First Lieutenant Khaled Nasser Al Mulla, head of the technical team at the Ministry of Interior (MOI), revealed the details of the plan for the temporary closure of the Doha Corniche during the period of hosting the State of Qatar for the Arab Cup, with the aim of organizing the traffic process, reducing congestion and not creating traffic.

During the press conference of the organizing committee for the Arab World Cup, the first lieutenant confirmed that the traffic closure will start from November 26 in the morning until December 4, 2021, according to the live broadcast of Al-Kas channels.

The traffic closure includes from the Sharq intersection towards the Sheraton intersection in the north and from the Sheraton intersection to the Port intersection in the south, while traffic will be open for those coming from the centre of Doha towards the Port intersection and heading to the Sharq intersection to reduce traffic congestion in the central area of Doha.
