MOPH Announces Updates to COVID-19 Restrictions

The Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) has announced that with the number of COVID-19 cases continuing to fall around the world and in Qatar, the ongoing implementation of Qatar's National COVID-19 Vaccination Program, and based on the Cabinet's decision issued yesterday, a set of updates will be applied to the existing measures to tackle COVID-19. The updates will come into effect on Tuesday, November 1, 2022.

These updates include the following:

Mandating individuals to present their health status on Ehteraz application when entering healthcare facilities in Qatar.

Canceling the requirement for citizens and residents of Qatar to take Rapid Antigen or PCR tests within 24 hours following their arrival in Qatar.

Canceling the requirement for visitors to present a negative COVID-19 Rapid Antigen or PCR test result before traveling to Qatar.

MOPH stressed the need for all citizens, residents, and visitors to continue to follow standard precautionary measures to reduce the risk of infection. This includes being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, performing regular hand hygiene, getting tested if you experience COVID-19 symptoms, and following a healthy lifestyle.
