Political Affairs Undersecretary meets US House Committee on Ethics Chairman

Washington, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, met here with the Chairman of the US House Ethics Committee and the Middle East and North Africa Subcommittee, Rep. Ted Deutch.

During the meeting, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah praised the strong historical relations and the distinguished strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the friendly United States of America.

He also affirmed Bahrain's firm commitment to the protection of human rights, noting that the Kingdom has made pioneering achievements in consolidating democratic practice, as well as respect for freedoms and the rule of law.

The Undersecretary for Political Affairs reviewed the firm and responsible positions of Bahrain in supporting and promoting the security and prosperity of the Middle East, explaining that the Abraham Accords will contribute to building a better future for the peoples of the region.

Rep. Deutch expressed his appreciation for the effective efforts and tangible initiatives made by Bahrain to promote the foundations of peace and stability in the Middle East, wishing the Kingdom further development.
