Qatar Charity has inaugurated a series of significant development projects in Ghana, which included a school for orphanages, a multi-service center, the launch of the Dar Al Salam Model Village, in addition to laying the foundation stone for Qatar Charity’s permanent headquarters in Ghana.
The opening and inauguration of the projects came during a visit by a Qatar Charity delegation led by Director of the Development Operations Department Abdulaziz Jassim Haji, in the presence of a number of Ghanaian government officials.
The projects included the opening of a multi-service center in Ayensuano in the Eastern Region and an orphanage and school in the Prampram district to meet the basic needs of the population and contribute to the well-being and future of Ghana’s youth. In addition, Qatar Charity inaugurated the “Dar Al Salam Model Village,” a project covering 25 acres and designed to address various community needs. The village includes a school, clinic, mosque, and housing for teachers and nurses. The dele
gation also laid the foundation stone for Qatar Charity’s permanent headquarters.
In his speech at the opening ceremony, Member of Parliament for the Ayensuano District Teddy Safori Addi expressed his deep appreciation to Qatar Charity, noting that the project is the first of its kind in the village.
For his part, the Director of the Development Operations Department affirmed Qatar Charity’s commitment to developing “Ayensuano,” reiterating its keenness to provide continuous support to orphans in rural areas, highlighting the importance of education, food, and shelter in helping children grow into active members of society.
