Microsoft Company announced yesterday that it would team up with Qatar's Aspire Zone Foundation with the aim of accelerating digital transformation in the area of sport in the State of Qatar and sharing gained ideas and knowledge with the world. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in Doha, between Mr. Jean-Philippe Courtois, Executive Vice President and President of Microsoft Global Sales, Marketing and Operations, and Mr. Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Chief Executive Officer of Aspire Zone Foundation. Both organizations under the MoU will team up about developing digital solutions in the area of sport in the State of Qatar. This will happen through combining the competencies of both parties, and engaging in finding innovative solutions applicable to the area of local and global sport.
Al Suwaidi said: Within the framework of our partnership with Microsoft, we intend to work on accelerating the pace of innovation in sports technology. This is by taking advantage of Microsoft's expertise and innovations including artificial intelligence technologies, automation, robotics, machine learning and other technologies based on Azure cloud forum. In line with this agreement, there will be also work on sharing ideas through holding a set of workshops and meetings, with focusing on developing new solutions in the sporting industry in the State of Qatar and overseas.
Courtois stated that Microsoft's mission is to empower every individual and organization in the world to achieve more. Courtois pointed out that working with Aspire Zone Foundation emphasizes the company's commitment toward the Qatari people. He noted that Microsoft, through this cooperation by supporting Aspire Zone Foundation, would work on achieving its goals, which are manifested in encouraging dynamic lifestyles, spurring economic growth, building capabilities and increasing the levels of sustainable positive impact.
