The Artificial Intelligence Committee held its first meeting at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), headed by Mr. Hassan Jassim Al Sayed, Advisor to the Minister of Communications and Information Technology for Technical Affairs.
The Committee members include representatives from the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, MCIT, Qatar Science and Technology Park, Qatar University, Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Qatar National Research Fund, and Qatar Development Bank.
During the meeting, the Committee reviewed the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy, the Strategy’s key highlights, and recommended initiatives, in addition to the presentation of the different examples of best practices and uses related to AI, as well as the importance of AI ethics.
