Ukrainian Aviation Launches 12 Strikes on Russian Positions, 6 on Missile Systems

The aviation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched 12 strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment of the Russians, and six more on anti-aircraft missile systems, according to a report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Over the past day, the Russians "launched two missile strikes, 43 airstrikes, and 55 MLRS attacks on the positions of our troops and populated settlements," the report said, adding that as a result of the Russian attacks, civilians, including children, were killed and wounded. "Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure objects were destroyed," the report reads.

From Feb. 24, 2022 to Aug. 14, 2023, the Armed Forces of Ukraine killed about 254,380 Russian military personnel, including 530 soldiers over the past day, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said in a report carried by Ukraine news agency (Ukrinform).

Moreover, the Ukrainian troops destroyed 4,306 Russian tanks, 8,354 armored combat vehicles, 5,099 artillery systems, 714 MLRS, 479 air defense systems, 315 aircraft, 313 helicopters, 4,213 operational-tactical UAVs, 1,379 cruise missiles, 18 ships/boats, 7,562 vehicles and fuel tanks, 766 special equipment units.
