Bethlehem – Ma’an – The United Nations announced that 41 percent of its coordinated aid missions were prevented by Israel from reaching northern Gaza.
This came in a statement issued by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), yesterday evening, Sunday.
The statement explained that 41 percent of its coordinated aid missions, between April 6 and 12, were prevented or banned from reaching northern Gaza.
She stressed that the Israeli authorities’ commitment to facilitating the arrival of humanitarian aid does not end until the aid reaches civilians.
Israel continues its devastating war on Gaza despite the issuance of an immediate ceasefire resolution by the Security Council, as well as despite its first appearance before the International Court of Justice on charges of committing “genocide.”
The war left more than 100,000 people dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and massive destruction and famine that claimed the lives of children and the elderly, accor
ding to Palestinian and UN data.
