Singapore, Oil prices fell on Tuesday after a more than $1 slide on Monday amid hopes the US would ease sanctions on producer Venezuela.
Brent crude futures were down 5 cents at $89.60 a barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate crude (WTI) was down 23 cents at $86.43 a barrel.
Since 2019, the US has sanctioned oil exports from Venezuela, a member of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).
