6th Scientific Exhibition for Innovations and Research Concludes

A competitive atmosphere marked the conclusion of the 6th Scientific Exhibition for Innovations and Research which was organized by Qatar Scientific Club over two days in the presence of representatives of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, the Ministry of Sports and Youth, school principals, and the students participating in the exhibition and their supervisors.

The exhibition featured scientific research for the 6th edition of Baheth (researcher) competition in its first day, while the second day included projects and innovations for the Ibtikar (innovation) competition.

The exhibition included prototypes of scientific innovations implemented by students with high professionalism, based on technological equipment and advanced infrastructure that serve owners of projects and innovations at Qatar Science Club.

The Ibtikar competition included 43 innovations from 31 schools in the secondary, preparatory and primary stages.

In the secondary stage, Al Ghuwairiya Secondary School for Girls won the first place for creating a biodegradable material made of date stones; Zubaida Secondary School for Girls won the second place for creating a smart glasses design to reduce the damages of dry eyes; and Al Wakra Secondary School for Girls won the third place for creating a robot design.

In the preparatory stage, Harvard American School won the first place for the H-Rover research; Hamza bin Abdul Muttalib School won the second place for a research on wireless communication technology to limit the speed of cars; and Hind Bint Amr Al-Ansaria School won the third place for creating an alarm device design for lack of ventilation.

In the primary stage, Moza Bint Mohammed Primary School for Girls won the first place for creating a design of smart food tools; Harvard American School won the second place for the "Evaluator Device" research; and Al Israa Primary School won the third place for a research on a device that alerts the driver when sleeping.
