A stand denouncing the occupation’s crimes against male and female prisoners and in support of Gaza in Hebron

The Palestinian Prisoners' Club and the Commission of Prisoners' Affairs and Freed Prisoners, with the participation of the Prisoners' Families Committee, the Political Guidance Authority, national forces, and official and civil institutions in the Hebron Governorate, organized a stand in support of male and female prisoners in the occupation prisons. The participants raised pictures of the prisoners, both male and female, and the martyrs of the prisoner movement whose bodies are being held in the occupation's refrigerators, and banners with slogans written on them denouncing the crimes committed against the prisoners, especially the testimonies that came out of the prisoners of Gaza and the abuse and atrocities they are being subjected to. The spokesman for the Prisoners Club, Amjad Al-Najjar, explained that the occupation's crimes against male and female prisoners continue, and require the immediate intervention of the international community and human rights institutions, and work to release the prisone rs. He called for unifying all efforts and investing them in serving the prisoners, and knocking on all doors, including the International Criminal Court, to prosecute the Israeli war criminals, who spare no effort in dealing with the prisoners with brutality and cruelty. He pointed out that there are 10,000 detainees, including 90 women, 250 children, including 19 children from Gaza under the age of 15, prisoners suffering from serious illnesses, and cancer patients who have not received their treatment. In turn, the Director of the Prisoners and Freed Prisoners Affairs Authority, Ibrahim Najajra, said that the activity was to support the prisoner movement in light of the continued policy of abuse, torture and sexual violations, and in light of the policy of field executions against prisoners, the absolute international silence, and the inability of the United Nations institutions to lift the injustice from our prisoners and our people. For his part, the Director of the Political Department in the Hebron Governorate, Qais Daana, stated that this stand is an affirmation of the rejection and condemnation of the Israeli occupation policy against prisoners who are subjected to the most heinous forms of torture without any international intervention by the United Nations and international, humanitarian and human rights organizations. In a speech by the National Forces, delivered by Ismail Abu Hashesh, he explained that the conditions of prisoners are becoming increasingly complicated inside prisons and have become very dangerous. He called on the international community to take immediate and urgent action to save the lives of the prisoners, saying: "We say to the international community: Shame on you for this shameful silence that will be a curse that haunts you." He urged the international community to stop issuing statements of condemnation and denunciation and expressing concern, and to lift the blame towards what our prisoners are being subjected to behind bars, adding: "It does not satisfy their hunger and thirst for freedom and to return to their families and relatives alive." He called on all national forces and residents to participate in all activities to support the prisoners and our people in the Gaza Strip who are being subjected to genocide crimes.
