Doha: Al Ahli SC announced Sunday the official signing of defender Bahaa Ellethy on loan from Qatar SC, joining the first football team for the 2024/2025 season. In a statement, the club said that the 25-year-old player will join the teams training camp in the Netherlands in the coming hours. Ellethy began his career with Al Sadd SC before moving to Qatar SC in the summer of 2019. Al Ahli began their external training camp in the Dutch region of Meerlo with a friendly win against PSV Eindhoven's under-23 team, securing a 2-1 victory. The team is scheduled to play three more friendly matches: against Al Wasl of the UAE on July 24, against Lommel of Belgium on July 27, and will conclude their friendly matches on August 1 against a second-division Dutch team.
