Paris, The General Sports Authority (GSA) of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Ministry of Sports of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Paris, aimed at enhancing collaboration in the sports sector. The MoU was signed by His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), alongside His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Faisal, Minister of Sports and President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee. Prince Fahad bin Jalawi, Vice President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee; Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Vice Chairman of the GSA; Essam Abdulaziz Al Jassim, Bahraini Ambassador to France; Dr. Abdulrahman Askar, CEO of the GSA; and Adwa Abdulrahman Al Arifi, Assistant Minister for Sports Affair of Saudi Arabia, attended the signing ceremony. The MoU aimed at streng thening bilateral sports cooperation, focusing on the promotion of community, Paralympic, women's, and combat sports, along with the organisation of events, development of sports professionals, and collaboration on sports investment, facility management, and long-term training programmes. HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad emphasised that the MoU marks a strategic advancement in the sports relations between the two kingdoms, reflecting the shared commitment to enhance cooperation and exchange expertise in various sports disciplines.
