Ramallah-Ma'an- Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr. Amjad Barham discussed in his office today with a delegation from the Qatari Student Union Council at Al-Quds Open University a number of topics related to the higher education sector and improving its outcomes. Barham also discussed with the delegation issues related to students and ways to advance the educational process in universities, in a way that serves the building of a strong educational system built on sound foundations. The minister stressed the important and pivotal role of university and college students in building and serving Palestinian society, as they are the pillar of the Palestinian state, pointing to the ministry's keenness to enhance and enable students to play their role strongly and effectively. For his part, the delegation touched on a number of topics related to the development of the Palestinian higher education sector, in addition to discussing ways to address some of the problems facing Al-Quds Open University stude nts. The delegation included the head of the council, Ziad Al-Wawi, Muhammad Kassab, Orabi Al-Tarwa, Fares Al-Fakhouri, and Fadi Hammad. Source: Maan News Agency
