HM King issues Royal Decree (57) of 2024

Manama, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued Decree (57) of 2024, restructuring the Board of Trustees of the Health Insurance Fund, based on the nomination of the Supreme Council of Health, the proposal of the Prime Minister, and following the approval of the Cabinet. Article I The Board of Trustees of the Health Insurance Fund shall be restructured and chaired by the President of the Supreme Council of Health. It consists of the following members: 1. Minister of Finance and National Economy, vice chairperson. 2. Minister of Labour, member. 3. Minister of Health, member. 4. Minister of Cabinet Affairs, member. 5. Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain, member. 6. Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Social Insurance Organisation (SIO), member. 7. Supreme Council of Health Secretary General, member. 8. Marwan Khaled Tabbara, member. The term of membership for those other than the chairperson and the members mentioned in clauses (1) to (3) of the previous paragraph shall be four years, and the vice chairperson shall replace the chairperson in the event of absence or impediment. Article II The Prime Minister and Ministers, - each in their capacity - shall implement this decree, which will be effective upon its issuance, and be published in the Official Gazette. The collection ‘Hands Close Again’ by the poet Samih Farag

Bethlehem - Together - The poet Samih Faraj presented a poetic context entitled 'Hands Closed Again,' which concerns him in the occupied territory as one of its poets who remained loyal to Palestine as a cause of culture and resistance. In the collection, 'Hand Closes Again,' the poet Faraj presented his reality as a Palestinian suffering under the yoke of the occupation, and suffering from the oppression, barbarism, and racism of this occupier, who deprives him of his human, national, and national rights. The poet presented a scene 'The Next Day' about the behavior of the occupation and how it deals with the Palestinian, as the Palestinian's problem with the occupation is that he is the one who disturbs his life and livelihood.' Palestine, Barbados Sign Joint Declaration Establishing Diplomatic Relations

Palestine and Barbados signed a joint declaration establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries. The declaration was signed by Palestine's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Ambassador Riyad Mansour and Permanent Representative of Barbados to the United Nations Francois Jackman. The two parties decided that diplomatic relations between the two countries would be based on international law, particularly respecting and enhancing global peace and security and the principles of equality among states, as well as respecting national sovereignty, regional safety, independence and international treaties. Qatar, Iran Sign Agreement on Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters

Doha: The State of Qatar and the Islamic Republic of Iran signed Wednesday an agreement on legal assistance in criminal matters between the two countries' governments. The Agreement was signed by HE Attorney General Dr. Issa bin Saad Al Jafali Al Nuaimi and HE Minister of Justice of the Islamic Republic of Iran Amin Hossein Rahimi, in the presence of HE Judiciary Chief of the Islamic Republic of Iran Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejei and his accompanying delegation, who is visiting the country. HE the Attorney General met with HE the Judiciary Chief of the Islamic Republic of Iran, where they exchanged views on a number of topics of common concern and ways to strengthen cooperation in the legal and judicial field.
