Riyadh, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Foreign Affairs Minister, met here today his Egyptian counterpart, Sameh Shoukry, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum's Special Meeting. The two ministers discussed the progress of the long-standing solid fraternal relations between both countries and their peoples, as well as ways to bolster bilateral cooperation across various fields to serve common interests and goals. They also discussed the war on the Gaza Strip, and the humanitarian situation resulting from it, in addition to the regional and international efforts aimed at reaching a ceasefire, protecting civilians, delivering humanitarian aid to the Gazans, releasing hostages and detainees, as well as launching a process to establish peace and security across the region. Talks also focused on the ongoing preparations for the 33rd Arab Summit, set to be hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain on May 16, in addition to the topics and issues to be included in the agenda of the summit.
