Damascus, Syria has strongly condemned the Israeli occupation entity's accusation against UNRWA of practicing terrorism, this accusation that comes within its attempts to end the role of the international organization and to cover up the crimes and atrocities this entity is perpetrating in Gaza and the West Bank in addition to liquidating the right of Palestinian refugees abroad. 'The false and shameful allegations launched by the circles of the Zionist entity by accusing one of the important United Nations' agencies that perform humanitarian services, and describing it as terrorist will later lead to the UN itself being accused of terrorism, as well as any international organization that defends Palestinian human rights and international humanitarian law, which includes the rights of the Palestinian people,' Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday. The statement added that Syria, as a country hosting about half a million Palestinians since the end of the 1940s until now, calls on al l countries in the world that have supported UNRWA for more than 70 years to condemn such Zionist decisions, and to continue their political and financial support for UNRWA. 'Syria reiterates its support for the UNRWA activities in Occupied Palestine and abroad,' the statement affirmed. Source: Syrian Arab News Agency
