Manama, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister, today received the Chief of General Staff of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Excellency Lieutenant-General Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, and an accompanying delegation, at Riffa Palace. HRH the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister highlighted the Kingdom's commitment to furthering bilateral relations to meet the visions of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. His Royal Highness noted the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud's efforts to enhance collaboration between the two Kingdoms. His Royal Highness welcomed HE Al-Ruwaili and emphasised Saudi's role, alongside allied countries, in safeguarding security and stability and supporting regional an d global development efforts. His Royal Highness affirmed the Bahrain-Saudi longstanding relationship and strategic partnership. HRH the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister highlighted the Kingdoms' collaboration across all sectors, particularly in the military and defence fields. HRH highlighted the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation to achieve shared aspirations. Issues of common interests and regional and global developments have been discussed. For his part, HE Al-Ruwaili expressed his gratitude to His Royal Highness's commitment to enhancing bilateral relations, particularly in the military and defence fields. The Minister of Finance and National Economy, HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, and the BDF Chief of Staff, Lieutenant-General Theyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi, also attended the meeting.
