Doha: The General Assembly of Al Shamal SC has elected Ibrahim Al Sada as the club's president and Abdullah Shamsan as vice president for the 2024-2028 electoral term, both by acclamation due to the absence of other candidates for these positions. The election took place during today's General Assembly meeting, which achieved a legal quorum with the presence of founding and active members, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Sports and Youth. The election of the president and his deputy was confirmed during this meeting. The assembly also addressed various agenda items, including the approval of the previous meeting's minutes, discussion of the president's report on the past year's activities, and the review of the work plan and programs for the upcoming year. Additionally, the final accounts for the financial year 2023-2024 ending on May 31, 2024, were approved, and the budget for the financial year 2024-2025 was endorsed. President of Al Shamal SC Ibrahim Al Sada expressed his aspirations for the club's first football team to perform at an outstanding level in the upcoming season. He also announced the signing of Algerian player Baghdad Bounedjah, previously with Al Sadd, who will join Al Shamal for two seasons. This marks Ibrahim Al Sada's second term as president, having first held the position during the 2020-2024 term. He aims to achieve the best results across all competitions during his tenure.
