Libyan Minister of Foreign Affairs Discuss with UN Official Efforts to Hold Elections in Her Country

Libyan Minister of Foreign Affairs Naglaa Al Mangoush discussed with the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Libya Abdoulaye Bathily the efforts exerted to support the holding of national elections in the country.

During the meeting, Bathily briefed Mangoush on the political consultations that the UN Support Mission in Libya is conducting with local and international parties on developments in the political situation in the country.

The two sides reaffirmed the need to intensify consultations and support all efforts aimed at holding elections on solid legal bases and consensus among all parties.

President of the Libyan Presidential Council (LPC) Mohamed Al Manfi had discussed during the past days with Bathily the steps taken by the Presidential Council in the political, economic and military tracks.
