Schools to Participate in Scientific Research Competitions Regionally and Internationally Announced

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE), represented by the Scientific Research Section of the Curriculum and Learning Resources Department, in co-operation with Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF) at Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, has announced a list of schools nominated to represent Qatar in regional and international competitions in scientific research and innovation, in the USA, Malaysia and Kuwait.

The ministry, said in a statement, that most of the schools nominated for these competitions were selected from among winners of the first three places in the National Scientific Research and Innovation Competition that was held from the first to the fourth of last November, in nine categories that included all scientific and social fields.

The Ministry pointed out that the number of students who took the exams was 52 male and female students, from 22 middle and high schools, who submitted 26 research projects, of which the best six projects were selected for 12 male and female students to participate in the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) in the United States of America on the fourth and fifth from next May.
