The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), revealed, on Saturday, that 199 UN staffers have been killed and hundreds injured, since the start of the Israeli assault on the Gaza Strip on Octot.7, 2023. In a press statement, UNRWA highlighted that most of its centers came under shelling by the Israeli occupation army, notwithstanding 1100 of UNRWA staffers keep serving the displaced at shelter centers. It affirmed that the shortage of fuel represents a fundamental impediment for the operation of medical and environmental personnel. UNRWA underlined that the shortage of fuel, likewise, impedes the functioning of food processing centers, pointing out that 1.9 million displaced people live in dire conditions with the ongoing forced displacement across the entire Gaza Strip. Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation army keeps mounting its aggression on Gaza through airstrikes, ground offensive and attack from sea, committing bloody massacres against the Palestinian civil ians, which led to tens of thousands of casualties and missing people. The aggression has unequivocally inflicted a major devastation upon the critical infrastructure, along with an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe in the enclave, due to imposing restrictions on food, water, medicine and fuel supplies.
