At least one officer and three militants were killed in a security operation carried out by Pakistani army forces in Balochistan province, southwest Pakistan. A statement by the Pakistani army said that Pakistani forces carried out a security operation based on intelligence information about the presence of gunmen in the Zhob area, where an exchange of fire took place between security forces and armed elements, resulting in the killing of an officer and three gunmen, Radio Pakistan reported. Weapons, ammunition and explosives were found in the possession of the militants, the statement added.
