Seventeen people were killed and others were injured in an explosion at a pharmaceutical factory in the state of Andhra Pradesh, in southern India. Local authorities said that the explosion led to the injury of 35 people, and they were transferred to a local hospital for treatment. The fire broke out in the 40-acre private manufacturing unit that has been operating since 2019 in Anakapalli area. Two people were killed and five others were injured last year in a similar fire that broke out in a solvent reactor in a unit in Anakapalli. Source: Qatar News Agency
