Three goals from Almoez Ali, Kyrgyz defender Tamirlan Kozubaev (own goal), and Ibrahim Al Hassan, at Al Thumama Stadium took the Asian champions to the fourth spot of Group A with four points. This win returns Akram Afif's fellows to the right path on the road to the US, Canada and Mexico after a 3-1 home loss to the UAE in their group opener and a 2-2 away tie with North Korea.
