At least three people were killed and 15 others were injured in a shooting incident that occurred in the US state of Alabama, in the south of the country. US media reported, citing officials in the Baldwin County Investigation Department, that the incident occurred during a party attended by about a thousand people, near the town of Stockton where a quarrel broke out leading to the shooting. Most of the attendees were young men. There have been no reports of arrests so far, and police officers were not involved in the shooting, officials added. In a related context, the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office published a statement saying that the event was peaceful until the argument which led to the shooting. The accident resulted in 18 people being injured, three of whom died from their injuries. US authorities are conducting extensive investigations to determine the identity of the suspects and the reasons behind the incident, at a time when shooting incidents are increasing in the United States for various mo tives, raising widespread controversy about the spread of weapons among the population.
