3 New Qatari Cities Join UNESCO Network of Learning Cities

The Ministry of Municipality announced through its official account on Twitter that three new Qatari cities (Al Doha, Al Rayyan and Al Daayen) have joined the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Global Network of Learning Cities. This brings the number of Qatari municipalities that are members of the UNESCO Global Network of Learning Cities to six, as Al Wakra, Al Shamal, and Al Shahaniya joined the Network in the past years.

The Ministry added that the joining of the three cities to the Global Network of Learning Cities is a new achievement for the Ministry of Municipality, represented by these municipalities, for their commitment to all the criteria required to fill this membership through their adoption of a strategy to spread the concepts of sustainability and integrate the society with it, in realization of Qatar National Vision 2030.
