Amman, The 38th Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts will kick off on Wednesday under the slogan "The Promise Continues." This year's festival marks the silver jubilee of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein of Jordan of his assumption of constitutional powers. The opening ceremony will take place at the Northern Theater of the Roman City of Jerash, which will feature performances showcasing Jordan's cultural, intellectual, and folklore heritage, PETRA reported. The festival will feature poetry evenings showcasing esteemed poets from Jordan and the wider Arab world, a conference focused on the "renewal of renaissance thought," and a forum dedicated to short stories.
