An earthquake measuring 4.6 magnitude on the Richter scale struck Tonga on Wednesday. The US Geological Survey (USGS) said that the epicenter of the earthquake occurred 237 km from Houma, at a depth of 304.1 km. There have been no reports about human losses or material damage as a result of the earthquake so far. Tonga is an archipelago of 176 scattered islands in the South Pacific Ocean, of which only 52 are inhabited, located in northwest New Zealand and Australia. Source: Qatar News Agency
