An earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale struck Aceh province in western Indonesia on Monday. Indonesia's Meteorological, Climatological, and Geophysical Agency (BMKG) reported that the epicenter of the earthquake occurred 35 km from Nagan Raya Regency, at a depth of 10 km. There have been no reports of any material damage or human losses due to the earthquake so far. Indonesia is located on the Pacific Ring of Fire, the world's largest earthquake belt, due to fault lines that run from Chile to Japan and Southeast Asia. Source: Qatar News Agency
