An earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale struck Baja California Sur state in western Mexico on Wednesday. The epicenter of the earthquake occurred 90 kilometers from the city of Loreto, at a depth of 10 km, the US Geological Survey said. There have been no reports of material damage or casualties as a result of the earthquake. The last strong earthquake in Mexico dates back to Sep. 2017, when it struck the capital, Mexico City, and the neighboring states of Murillo and Puebla, killing 370 people. Source: Qatar News Agency
