Occupied Jerusalem, Thousands of Palestinians performed Friday (Jum'ah) Prayer at Al-Aqsa Mosque amid tight military measures imposed by the Israeli occupation authorities on worshipers' arrival at the Mosque. The Islamic Endowments Department in Jerusalem estimated that roughly 40,000 Palestinian worshipers performed the Friday Prayer at Al-Aqsa courtyards. Since the start of the full assault on the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank in October 2023, the Israeli occupation military forces have been tightening their measures at the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque and entry points of the Old City and occasionally prevent worshippers from entering the Mosque.
