Tel Aviv - Ma'an - The Israeli army spokesman announced today, Thursday, the assassination of the commander of the Tulkarm Battalion, Muhammad Jaber, nicknamed "Abu Shujaa", and four other members of the battalion in an exchange of fire in the Nour Shams camp. Five citizens were martyred at dawn on Thursday, during an exchange of fire with the occupation forces that penetrated the Nour Shams camp in Tulkarm district. Channel 14 published details of the assassination of "Abu Shuja", noting that at around 4:00 AM, the Israeli army surrounded a building in Tulkarm camp, where a number of resistance fighters were present, including Abu Shuja. She pointed out that an Israeli army force fired a missile at the besieged building, during an exchange of fire with a group of resistance fighters. At the end of the clashes, the commander of the Tulkarm Battalion, Abu Shuja, and 4 others who were with him were martyred, while the Israeli army arrested a wanted citizen from the building. The spokesman for the occupatio n army also announced in a statement that an Israeli soldier from the special "Yamam" unit was injured in an exchange of fire in the Nour Shams camp. The spokesman for the occupation army claimed in his statement that Abu Shujaa "was involved in many armed operations, and in directing the shooting operation last June, which resulted in the killing of the Israeli citizen Amnon Mukhtar, and he was also involved in other armed operations," according to the statement. Medical sources reported that the young man, Majed Majed Daoud (21 years old), was killed by the occupation forces' bullets during their raid on the camp.
